About Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University
Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University (PAHSU), established in 2004 by an Act of the Maharashtra state legislature as Solapur University, was renamed in 2018 in honour of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar (the 18th-century Holkar queen of Indore, known for her temple-building, charity and Maratha-era welfare governance). Located in Solapur, the university serves Solapur, Osmanabad (now Dharashiv) and parts of Sangli districts of southern Maharashtra.
PAHSU has 18 teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law and Engineering & Technology. It affiliates 150+ UG and PG colleges. NAAC B+ accredited.
UG admissions through MHT-CET for professional courses; merit on Plus Two for general UG. PG admissions through PAHSU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through PAHSU PET.
