About Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University
Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMUN), established in 1994 (operational 1995) at Nanded, is a state university serving the eastern Marathwada and Telangana-Marathwada border region of Maharashtra (Nanded, Hingoli, Latur, Parbhani districts). The university is named in honour of Swami Ramanand Teerth — the freedom fighter and architect of the Hyderabad Liberation Movement (which freed the Marathwada region from Nizam rule in 1948).
SRTMUN has 25 teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law and Engineering & Technology. It affiliates 200+ UG and PG colleges. NAAC B++ accredited.
UG admissions through MHT-CET for professional courses; merit on Plus Two for general UG. PG admissions through SRTMUN PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through SRTMUN PET.
