About Maharashtra Institute of Technology University of Meghalaya
Mahatma Gandhi Mission's Institute of Technology Meghalaya (MIT Shillong), established in 2011 by an Act of the Meghalaya state legislature, is a private state university located at Shillong. The university is part of the Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM) Trust founded by Kamalkishor Kadam — the same trust that operates MGM University Aurangabad and MGM Institute of Health Sciences Navi Mumbai. MIT Shillong serves as the MGM Group's North-East campus.
MIT Shillong has multiple schools — Engineering & Technology, Sciences, Computer Applications, Management, Education, Law, Commerce, Mass Communication and Health Sciences. Offers UG, PG, Diploma and PhD programmes. Recognised by UGC under Section 2(f).
Admissions through MIT Shillong Entrance Test or merit on Plus Two/UG marks. JEE Main, GATE, CAT, CUET UG/PG accepted. PhD through MIT Shillong PhD entrance.
