About Techno Global University

Techno Global University, Shillong (TGU), established in 2008 by an Act of the Meghalaya state legislature, is a private state university located at Nongkynrih, Shillong. The university is part of the Techno India Group of Institutions (founded by Goutam Roy Chowdhury and Pradip K. Roy Chowdhury — a prominent West Bengal-based education conglomerate). TGU Shillong is the NE-region campus of the Techno India Group, complementing its other state universities (TGU Vidisha in MP, TGU Sikkim).
