About North East Christian University
North East Christian University (NECU), established in 2013 by an Act of the Nagaland state legislature, is a private state university located at Chümoukedima, Dimapur. The university is run by the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) — the principal Baptist Christian organisation of the NE region. NECU is the first Baptist Christian university in India and serves the Christian-majority Naga community.
North East Christian University has multiple schools — Theology & Mission, Education, Sciences, Computer Applications, Management, Commerce, Liberal Arts, Music and Nursing. Strong programmes in Theology, Christian Ministry, Education and Music. Offers UG, PG, Diploma and PhD programmes. The university uses English as the medium of instruction.
Admissions through NECU Entrance Test or merit on Plus Two/UG marks. CUET UG/PG accepted for select programmes. Theology programmes have separate ecclesiastical admissions for CBCNEI-affiliated candidates. PhD through NECU PhD entrance.
