About St. Joseph University
St. Joseph University, Dimapur, established in 2016 by an Act of the Nagaland state legislature, is a private state university located at Chümoukedima, Dimapur. The university is part of the Society of the Mill Hill Missionaries (an international Catholic missionary congregation) — making it the only Catholic university in the North-East and one of the few in India. St. Joseph University extends the legacy of St. Joseph's College Jakhama (one of Nagaland's premier colleges).
St. Joseph University has multiple schools — Engineering & Technology, Sciences, Computer Applications, Management, Education, Law, Commerce, Mass Communication, Liberal Arts, Theology and Music. The Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Education are flagship verticals. Recognised by UGC under Section 2(f).
Admissions through SJU Entrance Test or merit on Plus Two/UG marks. CUET UG/PG accepted for select programmes. Theology programmes have separate ecclesiastical admissions. PhD through SJU PhD entrance.
