Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University (GIET University), established in 2018 by an Act of the Odisha state legislature (continuing the legacy of Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology Gunupur founded in 1997), is a private state university located at Gunupur in Rayagada district, southern Odisha. The university is part of the GIET Group of Institutions and serves the tribal-region of Rayagada-Gajapati districts. Despite the database listing city as "Rayagada", the actual location is Gunupur town.

GIET University has multiple schools — Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Sciences, Computer Applications, Management, Education, Commerce, Mass Communication and Liberal Arts. Offers UG, PG, Diploma and PhD programmes. Recognised by UGC under Section 2(f).
