About Chandigarh University
Chandigarh University (CU) is a private state university located on NH-05 (Chandigarh-Ludhiana Highway) at Gharuan, Mohali, Punjab. Established by the Punjab State Legislature on 10 July 2012, CU is recognised by UGC under Section 2(f) and has the right to confer degrees as per Section 2(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university has rapidly grown into one of India's largest private universities by enrolment.
Chandigarh University offers UG, PG and PhD programmes across 16 disciplines: Engineering & Technology, Management, Computing, Cognitive Sciences, Education, Animation & Multimedia, Tourism & Hospitality, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Commerce, Legal Studies, Agriculture Sciences, Media Studies, Liberal Arts, and Basic Sciences. CU admissions across UG and PG are conducted through the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) — a 100-MCQ online computer-based test of 2 hours duration. CUCET also serves as the qualifying exam for university scholarships, with the top scorers eligible for up to 100% tuition waiver under the CU scholarship scheme.
