About Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), established in 2015 by an Act of the Punjab state legislature, is a state technological university located at Dabwali Road, Bathinda. The university is named after Maharaja Ranjit Singh — the 19th-century founder of the Sikh Empire who unified the Punjab region. MRSPTU is the second state technological university of Punjab (after IKG PTU Kapurthala) and primarily serves the Malwa region of southern Punjab.
MRSPTU has the main constituent University Institute of Engineering at Bathinda, alongside affiliating 30+ engineering, pharmacy and management colleges across Malwa Punjab. The university focuses on industry-aligned technical education with strong emphasis on emerging technologies. Recognised by AICTE; NAAC accredited.
