About The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala, established in 2006 by an Act of the Punjab state legislature, is the 9th National Law University of India and a participant in the Consortium of NLUs. Located at Sidhuwal, Patiala, RGNUL is a state law university named after former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The university is one of the leading NLUs in India and has produced many distinguished lawyers and judicial officers.
RGNUL offers a 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.), 1-year LL.M., and PhD programmes in law. Specialised research centres include Centre for Constitutional Law & Public Policy, Centre for International Trade & Investment Law, Centre for Environmental Law, and Centre for Banking & Insurance Law. NAAC A grade accredited; recognised by Bar Council of India (BCI).
BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) admissions through CLAT UG conducted by Consortium of NLUs. LL.M. admissions through CLAT PG. PhD through RGNUL PhD entrance. Punjab state quota of 25% within CLAT merit for Punjab domicile candidates.
