About Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences
Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences and Research (SGRDUHS), established in 2016 by an Act of the Punjab state legislature (continuing the legacy of Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research founded in 1996), is a private state health sciences university located at Vallah, Amritsar. The university is named after Sri Guru Ram Das — the fourth Sikh Guru and founder of the holy city of Amritsar. SGRDUHS is one of the major medical universities of Punjab and is part of the Khalsa Educational and Charitable Trust.
SGRDUHS has six faculties — Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences and Ayurveda. The Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital is a 700-bed teaching hospital. NAAC accredited; medical programmes by NMC.
