About Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth
Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (JRNRVU), established in 1937 by Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar (a freedom fighter and Gandhian) and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 1987 under the UGC Act, is one of India's oldest non-government educational institutions and the first Rajasthan-based deemed university. Located at Pratap Nagar, Udaipur, JRNRVU was founded with the Gandhian philosophy of "Karm Pradhan Hi Bharatiya Sanskriti Hai" (Action-oriented is Indian culture).
JRNRVU has multiple faculties — Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law, Engineering & Technology, Management and Performing Arts. The university maintains a strong Gandhian heritage with rural development and skill-based programmes. NAAC accredited.
Admissions through JRNRVU Entrance Test or merit on Plus Two/UG marks. JEE Main, CAT, CUET UG/PG accepted depending on programme. PhD through JRNRVU PhD entrance.
