About Maharaja Ganga Singh University
Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU), established in 2003 by an Act of the Rajasthan state legislature, is a state university located at Jaisalmer Road, Bikaner. The university is named after Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner (1880-1943) — the visionary 20th-century ruler who modernised Bikaner and built the Ganga Canal. MGSU serves the western Rajasthan desert region — Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu districts.
MGSU has 18 PG teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law and Management. It affiliates 100+ UG and PG colleges across the Bikaner division. NAAC accredited.
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through Rajasthan CAP on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through MGSU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through MGSU PhD entrance.
