About Mahatma Gandhi University

Mahatma Gandhi University, Telangana (MGU Nalgonda), established in 2008 by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh state legislature (continued under Telangana state after 2014), is a state university located at Nalgonda. The university serves the Nalgonda-Suryapet-Yadadri Bhuvanagiri region of central Telangana.

MGU Nalgonda has 16 PG teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education and Management. It affiliates 75+ UG and PG colleges across the central Telangana region. NAAC accredited.
