About Satavahana University

Satavahana University, established in 2008 by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh state legislature (continued under Telangana state after 2014), is a state university located at Karimnagar. The university is named after the Satavahana Dynasty — the 2nd century BCE - 3rd century CE empire that ruled this region. Satavahana U serves Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla and Jagtial districts.

Satavahana University has 14 PG teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce and Management. It affiliates 60+ UG and PG colleges. NAAC accredited.
