About Chaudhary Charan Singh University
Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU, formerly Meerut University), established in 1965 and renamed in 2008 in honour of Chaudhary Charan Singh (former Prime Minister of India 1979-80 and farmer leader), is a state university located at Meerut. The university serves western UP — Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Hapur, Shamli districts.
CCSU has 30 teaching departments organised into 11 faculties — Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Engineering & Technology, Law, Medicine, Management, Agriculture and Music & Fine Arts. It affiliates 700+ colleges across western UP (among India's largest affiliating universities). NAAC accredited.
UG admissions through state centralised. PG through CCSU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through CCSU PhD entrance.
