About Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology
Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSAUAT), established in 1974 by the CSAUAT Act, is the state agricultural university of UP. Headquartered at Kalyanpur, Kanpur, the university is named after Chandra Shekhar Azad (the iconic revolutionary freedom fighter). CSAUAT is one of the four state agricultural universities of UP and serves the central UP region.
CSAUAT has 7 colleges — College of Agriculture (Kanpur), College of Home Science (Kanpur), College of Agricultural Engineering (Kanpur), College of Veterinary Science (Mathura through DUVASU now), College of Horticulture (Auraiya), College of Forestry (Banda — now BUAT) and others. ICAR-accredited SAU. The 1100-acre Nawabganj campus is one of India's largest agricultural university campuses.
UG admissions through UP CET-Agri (state quota 85%) and ICAR AIEEA UG (15%). PG/PhD through ICAR AIEEA PG / AICE-JRF.
