About Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDUGU), established in 1957 as Gorakhpur University and renamed in 2010 in honour of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya (philosopher of integral humanism), is a state university located at Gorakhpur. The university serves eastern UP — Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Deoria and Siddharthnagar districts.

DDUGU has 35 teaching departments organised into 8 faculties — Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Engineering, Management, Law and Performing Arts. It affiliates 300+ UG and PG colleges across the Gorakhpur division. NAAC A grade accredited.
