About Jananayak Chandrashekhar University
Jananayak Chandrashekhar University (JCU), established in 2016 by an Act of the UP state legislature, is a state university located at Ballia. The university is named after Chandra Shekhar — former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna recipient who hailed from Ballia. JCU serves the eastern UP region — Ballia, Ghazipur, Mau and Azamgarh districts.
JCU has multiple teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Education and Management. It affiliates 80+ UG and PG colleges across the Ballia region. NAAC accredited.
UG admissions through state centralised. PG through JCU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through JCU PhD entrance.
