About Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University
Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU), established in 2013 by the RGNAU Act 2013, is the first national aviation university of India and the only Central University dedicated exclusively to aviation education and research. Located at Fursatganj, Raebareli, RGNAU is under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The university aims to develop highly skilled aviation professionals — pilots, engineers, managers, air traffic controllers — for India's rapidly growing aviation sector.
RGNAU has departments of Aviation Operations & Management, Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Aviation Safety, Air Traffic Management, Aviation Law, Aerodrome Design, and Pilot Training. Offers BTech (Aerospace), BSc (Aviation), MBA (Aviation Management), MTech (Aerospace), MA (Aviation Law) and PhD programmes. Strong industry tie-ups with DGCA, Airports Authority of India, Air India and IndiGo.
Admissions through CUET UG/PG for UG/PG programmes; pilot training admits through DGCA medical fitness + JEE Main; PhD through RGNAU entrance + interview.
