About Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University
Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU), established in 2014 by the RLBCAU Act 2014, is a Central Agricultural University located at Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The university is named after Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi (1828-1858) — the legendary queen of Jhansi who led Indian forces against British colonial rule in the 1857 Indian Rebellion. RLBCAU was established to serve the Bundelkhand region (UP-MP borderland) for agricultural research and education.
RLBCAU has 5 colleges — College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture & Forestry, College of Agricultural Engineering, College of Community Sciences, and College of Veterinary Science (Jhansi). The university operates KVKs in Bundelkhand districts. ICAR-accredited Central agricultural university.
UG admissions through ICAR AIEEA UG. PG/PhD through ICAR AIEEA PG / AICE-JRF. As a Central Agricultural University, RLBCAU does not have state-quota seats.
