About Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology (SVBPUAT), established in 2000 by the SVBPUAT Act and operational from 2004, is one of the four state agricultural universities of UP. Headquartered at Modipuram, Meerut, the university is named after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (first Home Minister of India). SVBPUAT serves western UP — Meerut, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Bijnor districts.

SVBPUAT has 6 colleges — College of Agriculture (Modipuram), College of Veterinary Sciences (Pantnagar/Modipuram), College of Home Science, College of Agricultural Engineering, College of Horticulture (Modipuram), College of Biotechnology (Modipuram). ICAR-accredited SAU.
