About Graphic Era
Graphic Era (Deemed-to-be University), Dehradun was conferred Deemed University status in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. It traces its origins to Graphic Era Institute of Technology founded in 1996 by Dr. Kamal Ghanshala. The university is approved by AICTE, NCTE and PCI for its respective professional programmes and operates from a 25-acre main campus at Clement Town, Dehradun, with an additional Crossroad campus extension.
Graphic Era is organised into the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Computing, Faculty of Management Studies, Faculty of Education & Humanities, Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Applied Sciences. Major programmes include BTech (CSE/IT/AIML/Cyber Security/ECE/EE/Mechanical/Civil/Electronics & Computer Engineering), BCA/MCA, BBA/MBA, BSc/MSc (Applied Sciences), BSc Agriculture, BPharm/MPharm, BSc Nursing, BHMCT, MTech, MSc Microbiology / Biotech, BJMC and PhD. Admissions are made through GEEE (Graphic Era Engineering Entrance Exam), JEE Main, CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT for MBA and the university's own entrance for other programmes.
Graphic Era is NAAC A+ accredited and consistently ranked among India's top 100 private universities in NIRF Engineering and Management categories. The university has academic collaborations with universities in the USA, UK, Australia and Singapore. Recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte and Accenture, with placement records consistently above 90% across engineering and management. The campus offers separate boys and girls hostels, a sports complex, Wi-Fi enabled academic blocks, and an Innovation & Incubation Centre.
