About Himalayiya University
Himalayiya University (HU), Dehradun was established in 2019 by Himalayiya Education Society under the Uttarakhand State Legislature Act. It is one of the newer private universities in the state, positioned to serve students from the Dehradun valley and adjacent hill districts. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and is approved by AICTE, PCI, INC and NCTE for its respective professional programmes. The campus is located in Doiwala / Jolly Grant area on the Dehradun-Haridwar Highway.
Himalayiya University offers programmes through its Schools of Engineering, Computing, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Management, Education, Agriculture, Law, and Sciences. Programmes include BTech (CSE/IT/Civil/Mechanical/EE/ECE), BPharm/MPharm/D.Pharm, BSc/MSc Nursing/GNM, BPT, BSc MLT/Radiology/OT, BCA/MCA, BBA/MBA, BSc Agriculture, BEd, BA-LLB, BSc/MSc and PhD. Admissions accept JEE Main, UKSEE, CAT/MAT/CMAT for MBA, CLAT for law, and qualifying merit / university entrance for most programmes.
Himalayiya University focuses on health-allied programmes, engineering and skill-based education suited to the regional economy. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls, modern computer and engineering labs, central library, basic nursing skills lab and transport facilities to Dehradun, Rishikesh and Haridwar. The university is a young institution actively building its placement network with regional pharmacies, IT services firms, hospitals and government healthcare establishments.
