About Motherhood University
Motherhood University, Roorkee was established in 2015 by Bhama Shah Sansthan Trust under the Uttarakhand State Legislature Act. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and is approved by AICTE, PCI, INC, NCTE and BCI for its respective professional programmes. The university operates from the Karondi campus on the Roorkee-Dehradun highway, spread over a 30-acre tract, although the head office address is listed under Haridwar district.
Motherhood University offers programmes through eleven schools — Engineering & Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computing, Nursing, Education, Law, Management, Hospitality, Sciences, Mass Communication and Agriculture. Programmes include BTech (CSE/IT/Civil/Mechanical/EE/ECE), BPharm/MPharm/DPharm, BCA/MCA, BBA/MBA, BSc Nursing/GNM/ANM, BA-LLB/LLB/LLM, BSc Agriculture, BJMC, BHM, BEd/MEd and PhD. Admissions accept JEE Main, MU-EAT (Motherhood University's entrance test), UKSEE, CLAT, CAT/MAT/CMAT and qualifying merit.
Motherhood University is NAAC accredited and provides affordable private education with a strong focus on health-allied and professional programmes. Recruiters include Wipro, TCS, HCL, Apollo Hospitals, Fortis, Mankind Pharma, Cipla and several regional businesses. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls, transport facilities to Roorkee/Haridwar/Dehradun, central library, modern engineering labs, and a dedicated nursing skills laboratory.
