About Bharatiya Engineering Science and Technology Innovation University

Bharatiya Engineering Science & Technology Innovation University (BESTIU), commonly known as B.E.S.T Innovation University, is a private state university located at Gownivaripalli, Gorantla mandal, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2019 by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature, BESTIU was India's first university officially designated as an "Innovation University" — focused on industry-aligned, entrepreneurship-led engineering and technology education.

BESTIU operates from a 200-acre campus with research-oriented teaching focused on emerging-technology B.Tech specialisations: Data Science, Cloud Computing, Full-Stack Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, IoT, Blockchain, Robotics & Automation, and Aerospace & Drone Technology. The university partners with industry for project-based learning, internships and placement.

BESTIU B.Tech admissions are conducted through the BESTIU Entrance Exam (BEE) — the university's own entrance test — alongside accepted national/state scores: AP EAPCET, JEE Main, JEE Advanced and ICAR AIEEA. Selection follows merit on the chosen entrance plus document verification. PhD admissions go through BESTIU's own research entrance plus interview.

UG (other programmes): 10+2 with at least 50%. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying UGC-NET / GATE / BESTIU PhD entrance plus interview.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for eligible candidates at this university.

BESTIU offers merit-based scholarships for top BEE rankers and AP EAPCET high scorers. Sports scholarships, the Single Girl Child concession, AP State Government Post-Matric scholarships for SC/ST/BC/EBC, the Jagananna Vidya Deevena fee reimbursement scheme, and Government of India Post-Matric scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal are accepted.

Reservations

Andhra Pradesh state reservation policy applies for AP EAPCET-allotted seats: SC 15%, ST 6%, BC-A 7%, BC-B 10%, BC-C 1%, BC-D 7%, BC-E 4%, EWS 10%, plus 5% PwBD horizontal. As a private state university, BESTIU also has an open management quota for direct admission to the BEE-route. NRI sponsorship and entrepreneurship-focused special seats per the prospectus.
