Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam (SPMVV) is a public state women's university located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 1983 by the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature, SPMVV is one of India's few exclusive women's universities and is dedicated to the higher education and empowerment of women through the arts, sciences, professional and applied disciplines.
SPMVV operates from a 138.43-acre campus and offers 60+ programmes across UG, PG, MPhil and PhD levels — covering arts, sciences, commerce, education, engineering & technology, pharmacy, nursing, law, physical education, and home science. Flagship programmes include B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, B.Ed, B.A LL.B (5-year integrated), B.P.Ed and a wide range of MA, M.Sc and M.Com programmes.
SPMVV admissions are entrance-based: UG programmes admit through the AP CETs (AP EAPCET for engineering/pharmacy, NATA for B.Arch, OAMDC for the 5-year integrated law programme). PG admissions follow AP PGCET; some diploma and PG courses follow direct admission on merit. PhD admissions are through the SPMVV research entrance plus interview.
