About SRM University

SRM University AP is a private state university located in Mangalagiri, Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2017 under the SRM University Act, 2017 of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature, the university is part of the SRM Group of Educational Institutions (which also operates SRMIST Kattankulathur, SRM University Sonipat and SRM University Sikkim). The 200-acre campus is fully residential.

SRM University AP operates 4 schools — School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, Paari School of Business, School of Liberal Arts & Basic Sciences, and Easwari School of Liberal Arts — offering B.Tech (CSE, AI/ML, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Sciences-Big Data), BBA, B.Com (Hons), BA (Hons) Liberal Arts, MBA, MSc, MA and PhD programmes. The university partners with UC Berkeley for international exposure and NSF-funded research collaborations.

SRM University AP B.Tech admissions are conducted through SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) — the same entrance used by SRMIST Kattankulathur — in three phases. The university also accepts JEE Main scores. MBA admissions through CAT/MAT/SRMUAP; integrated and other UG via SRMU AP entrance + Class 12 marks. PhD admissions through the SRM AP research entrance plus interview.

Eligibility

B.Tech: Class 10+2 from a recognised board with PCM at 60%+ (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology) and a valid SRMJEEE 2026 / JEE Main rank. UG (BBA, BCom, BA): 10+2 with at least 60% and SRM AP entrance + interview. MBA: Bachelor's with at least 50% and a valid CAT/MAT/SRMUAP score. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying UGC-NET / GATE / SRM AP PhD entrance plus interview.

SRM University AP offers tuition-fee scholarships based on SRMJEEE rank — top rankers receive 100% tuition waivers. The Founder's Scholarship for outstanding academic, sports and co-curricular achievement, the Single Girl Child concession, and Government of India Post-Matric scholarships for SC/ST/OBC/EWS through the National Scholarship Portal are also available.

Reservations

As a private state university, SRM University AP follows its own internal admission policy. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates receive eligibility relaxations and Government of India Post-Matric scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal. NRI/PIO/foreign-national sponsorship category and SRM Trust merit-cum-means scholarships per the prospectus.
