About Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prasanthinilayam
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) is a private deemed university with its main campus at Prasanthi Nilayam (Puttaparthi), Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, plus campuses at Brindavan (Bengaluru), Anantapur and Muddenahalli. Established in 1981 by Sri Sathya Sai Baba and granted Deemed-to-be-University status the same year, SSSIHL is a fully residential institution offering value-based education entirely free of tuition.
SSSIHL operates 6 schools — Sciences, Humanities, Education, Business Management, Mathematics & Computing, and Physical Sciences — offering UG (BA, BSc, BCom), PG (MA, MSc, MBA, MEd), MPhil and PhD programmes. The institution emphasises character development alongside academics, and offers separate boys' and girls' campuses with its hallmark integrated curriculum.
SSSIHL UG admissions are based on academic merit (Class 10+2 / qualifying examination) and a personal interview. PG admissions require the SSSIHL-conducted entrance test followed by a personal interview. Selection focuses on merit plus character/ethical orientation. There is no national-level entrance test requirement, and the application fee is nominal at Rs 100.
