Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) is a public state university and tertiary-care medical institute located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 1993 and funded by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), SVIMS is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Medical Commission (NMC). It is among Andhra Pradesh's premier medical institutes, offering super-speciality medical care alongside teaching and research.

SVIMS operates as a postgraduate-and-doctoral focused medical university with the Sri Venkateswara Medical College as its undergraduate constituent. The institute offers MD, MS, DM, M.Ch, DNB, MDS, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, M.Phil Clinical Psychology, Allied Health Sciences and PhD programmes across general medicine, surgery and 30+ super-speciality disciplines.

Eligibility

MD/MS: MBBS from a recognised university with valid NEET PG 2026 score. DM/M.Ch: MD/MS in the relevant discipline with valid NEET SS 2026 score. MBBS (SV Medical College): Class 10+2 with PCB and English at 50%+ (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) and qualifying NEET UG 2026 score. B.Sc Nursing / Allied Health: 10+2 with at least 45% in PCB and SVIMS-conducted entrance. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying SVIMS PhD entrance plus interview.

Reservations

AP state quota distribution: 85% AP-domicile candidates, 15% All India Quota (administered by MCC). Within state quota: SC 15%, ST 6%, BC-A 7%, BC-B 10%, BC-C 1%, BC-D 7%, BC-E 4%, EWS 10%, PwBD 5% horizontal. Special TTD quota seats for wards of TTD employees per the SVIMS prospectus.
