Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU) is a public state university located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2006 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and funded by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), SVVU is one of India's specialised universities dedicated exclusively to Vedic studies, traditional Hindu shastras, and Sanskrit-based cultural heritage education.
SVVU offers diploma, undergraduate (BA Sastri / Veda Bhushana / Veda Pravina), postgraduate (MA / Veda Vidwan), MPhil and PhD degrees across the four Vedas (Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, Atharvaveda), Agama Shastra, Paurohitya (priesthood), Veda Bhashya, Vedangas (six auxiliary disciplines), Smriti, Darshana (philosophy schools) and Vedic Sciences.
