About Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research

Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (VFSTR), commonly known as Vignan University, is a private deemed university located at Vadlamudi, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Founded in 1997 as Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering and granted Deemed-to-be-University status in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, VFSTR is consistently ranked among the leading deemed universities in NIRF (70th University, 80th Engineering in NIRF 2025).

VFSTR offers 60+ programmes across UG, PG and PhD levels through 5 schools — School of Engineering & Technology, School of Management, School of Sciences, School of Agricultural Sciences, and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Flagship programmes include B.Tech (CSE, AI/ML, IT, ECE, EEE, Mech, Civil, Biotech, Food Tech), B.Pharm, B.Sc Agriculture, MBA, MCA and integrated 5-year programmes.

Vignan B.Tech and most UG admissions are conducted through V-SAT (Vignan Scholastic Aptitude Test) — a 120-MCQ computer-based exam. JEE Main scores are also accepted. MBA admits via CAT/XAT/MAT plus Vignan-VJET; B.Sc Agriculture via AP EAPCET (Agri stream); PhD via the V-SAT-PhD entrance plus interview.

V-SAT is the primary entrance for B.Tech and most UG programmes — 120 MCQs covering Mathematics/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude in computer-based mode. JEE Main scores also accepted for B.Tech. MBA via CAT/XAT/MAT/V-JET; B.Sc Agriculture via AP EAPCET (Agri); PhD via V-SAT PhD entrance plus interview.

Eligibility

B.Tech: Class 10+2 from a recognised board with PCM at 60%+ aggregate and a valid V-SAT 2026 / JEE Main rank. UG (BBA, BCom, BCA, integrated): 10+2 with at least 50%. B.Sc Agriculture: 10+2 with PCB at 50%+ and AP EAPCET (Agri) rank. MBA: Bachelor's with at least 50% and a valid CAT/XAT/MAT/V-JET score. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying UGC-NET / GATE / V-SAT PhD entrance plus interview.
