About VIT-AP University

VIT-AP University is a private state university located at Inavolu, Beside AP Secretariat, Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2017 by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature as a satellite campus of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), VIT-AP follows the same academic framework, fully-flexible-credit-system curriculum and entrance test (VITEEE) as the parent VIT University.

VIT-AP offers UG, PG and PhD programmes across the School of Engineering (B.Tech in CSE, AI&ML, ECE, EEE, Mech, Civil, Chemical, Biotech, integrated CSE-business analytics etc.), School of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Business (BBA, MBA, integrated BCom-MCom), School of Law, School of Liberal Arts & Humanities, and School of Sciences. The 200-acre campus is fully residential.

VIT-AP B.Tech and integrated programmes admit through VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) — a single online entrance shared with VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai and VIT Bhopal. Top VITEEE rankers (1.5 lakh) are eligible for VIT-AP counselling. MBA admits via CAT/MAT/XAT/VIT MEE; LLB via CLAT and VIT Law School entrance. PhD admissions go through the VIT-AP research entrance plus interview.

Eligibility

B.Tech: Class 10+2 from a recognised board with PCM at 60%+ aggregate (50% for SC/ST) and a valid VITEEE 2026 rank. Integrated MTech: same as B.Tech. UG (BBA, BCom, BA, integrated): 10+2 with at least 60% aggregate. MBA: Bachelor's with at least 50% and a valid CAT/MAT/XAT/VIT MEE score. LLB (5-year integrated): 10+2 with at least 50% and a valid CLAT score. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying UGC-NET / GATE / VIT-AP PhD entrance plus interview.

VIT-AP offers a robust merit scholarship programme — top VITEEE rankers receive substantial fee waivers across all four years of B.Tech (Tier 1 to Tier 4 scholarship slabs based on rank). Sports / co-curricular scholarships, the Single Girl Child concession, and Government of India Post-Matric scholarships for SC/ST/OBC/EWS through the National Scholarship Portal are also available.

Reservations

As a private state university, VIT-AP follows its own internal admission policy. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates receive eligibility relaxations and Government of India Post-Matric scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal. NRI/PIO sponsorship category and Single Girl Child quota per the VIT-AP prospectus.
