About Dr. Y.S.R Architecture and Fine Arts University

Dr. Y.S.R. Architecture and Fine Arts University (YSRAFU) is a public state university located in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2020 by the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature and named after the late Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, YSRAFU is one of India's few specialised state universities focused exclusively on architecture, design and fine arts education.

YSRAFU offers UG, PG and PhD programmes across architecture, design, and fine arts disciplines: B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture, 5-year), B.Des (Bachelor of Design, 4-year), B.F.A (Bachelor of Fine Arts), B.Tech (Architecture-related streams), M.Arch, M.Des, M.F.A and PhD in architecture / design / fine-arts research.

YSRAFU admissions are programme-specific: B.Arch via NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture); B.Des via ADCET (Architecture and Design Common Entrance Test) or YSRAFU-conducted entrance; B.Tech (architecture-allied streams) via AP EAPCET; PG via the YSRAFU PGCET. PhD admissions through the YSRAFU research entrance plus interview.

Eligibility

B.Arch: Class 10+2 from a recognised board with PCM at 50%+ aggregate (45% for reserved categories) and a qualifying NATA 2026 score. B.Des: 10+2 with at least 50% and ADCET / YSRAFU entrance score. B.Tech (allied streams): 10+2 with PCM at 45%+ and AP EAPCET rank. PG: relevant Bachelor's degree with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) and YSRAFU PGCET / appropriate entrance score. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying YSRAFU PhD entrance plus interview.

Scholarships are available for eligible candidates at this university.

YSRAFU offers Andhra Pradesh State Government Post-Matric scholarships for SC/ST/BC/EBC, the Jagananna Vidya Deevena fee reimbursement scheme, the Single Girl Child concession, special architecture-and-design scholarships for academic toppers, and Government of India Post-Matric scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal.

Reservations

Andhra Pradesh state reservation policy applies: SC 15%, ST 6%, BC-A 7%, BC-B 10%, BC-C 1%, BC-D 7%, BC-E 4%, EWS 10%, plus 5% PwBD horizontal. 85% local AP-domicile quota; 15% non-local. Special quotas for fine-arts heritage students, sports and NCC per the YSRAFU prospectus.
