About Bihar Agricultural University
Bihar Agricultural University (BAU) is a state agricultural university located at Sabour, Bhagalpur in Bihar, established in 2010 by the Bihar Agricultural University Act, 2010 of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. BAU is recognised under ICAR norms as a State Agricultural University and serves the agricultural research, education and extension needs of Bihar.
BAU offers UG (B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture), PG (M.Sc) and Ph.D programmes across agriculture, horticulture, agricultural engineering, fisheries, food technology and home science. UG admission is 85% through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) and 15% through the ICAR AIEEA UG (All India Quota). PG admission uses ICAR AIEEA PG.
For 2026-27, BAU UG online applications are accepted until 6 May 2026. The official admission portal is at bausabour.ac.in. Programme fees are approximately ₹30,850 (General) / ₹21,250 (OBC).
