About Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University
Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) is a state university located at Muzaffarpur in north Bihar, established in 1952 by the Bihar Legislative Assembly as Bihar University and renamed to honour Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in 1992. BRABU is the principal affiliating university for colleges across the seven north-Bihar districts of Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar and Madhubani.
BRABU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes across arts, sciences, commerce, management (BBA, MBA), law, education, computer applications and engineering through more than 39 PG departments and 100+ affiliated colleges. UG admission for 2026-27 is through CUET UG (NTA); PG admission is through the BRABU PG Common Entrance Test or CUET PG.
CUET UG 2026 is being conducted from 11 to 31 May 2026. The 2026-27 admission notification, programme list and counselling schedule are released on the official portal at brabu.net.
