About Mata Gujri University

Mata Gujri University (MGU) is a state private university located at Kishanganj in north-east Bihar, established in 2019 under the Bihar Private Universities Act, 2013 by the Lions Seva Kendra trust. The university is named after Mata Gujri — the mother of Guru Gobind Singh — and operates the Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College and Hospital on campus.

Mata Gujri University offers approximately 16 programmes across paramedical, pharmacy and medical streams — including MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm (regular and lateral), D.Pharm, GNM, M.Sc Nursing, M.Pharm, P.B.B.Sc Nursing and medical PG (MD/MS). MBBS admission is through NEET UG followed by MCC counselling; medical PG (MS/MD) is through NEET PG plus MCC counselling. Nursing, pharmacy and paramedical programmes follow regulator-prescribed eligibility (INC, PCI, BCI as applicable) plus university interview.

Eligibility

MBBS / BDS: 10+2 with PCB and 50% (40% reserved); NEET UG. B.Sc Nursing: 10+2 with PCB per INC norms. B.Pharm: 10+2 with PCB / PCM per PCI norms. Medical PG (MS / MD): MBBS + NEET PG. M.Pharm: B.Pharm + GPAT.

   Apply for the relevant entrance
   For MBBS / BDS: NEET UG; for medical PG: NEET PG; for B.Sc Nursing / B.Pharm / D.Pharm: regulator-prescribed eligibility plus MGU application.
3. 3
   Appear for the entrance / counselling
   Sit NEET UG / PG as scheduled. MCC conducts MBBS / medical PG counselling. MGU conducts in-house counselling for nursing / pharmacy / paramedical.
4. 4
   Admission confirmation
   Selected candidates pay the admission fee and report to the MGU Kishanganj campus.
