About Mata Gujri University
Mata Gujri University (MGU) is a state private university located at Kishanganj in north-east Bihar, established in 2019 under the Bihar Private Universities Act, 2013 by the Lions Seva Kendra trust. The university is named after Mata Gujri — the mother of Guru Gobind Singh — and operates the Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College and Hospital on campus.
Mata Gujri University offers approximately 16 programmes across paramedical, pharmacy and medical streams — including MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm (regular and lateral), D.Pharm, GNM, M.Sc Nursing, M.Pharm, P.B.B.Sc Nursing and medical PG (MD/MS). MBBS admission is through NEET UG followed by MCC counselling; medical PG (MS/MD) is through NEET PG plus MCC counselling. Nursing, pharmacy and paramedical programmes follow regulator-prescribed eligibility (INC, PCI, BCI as applicable) plus university interview.
