About Munger University

Munger University (MU) is a state university located at Munger in eastern Bihar, established in 2017 by the Munger University Act, 2017 of the Bihar Legislative Assembly through the bifurcation of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University. The university is the principal affiliating university for colleges across Munger, Lakhisarai, Khagaria, Sheikhpura, Begusarai and Jamui districts.

Munger University offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes across arts, sciences, commerce, management, law and education through its constituent and affiliated colleges. UG admission for 2026-27 is through CUET UG (NTA) and merit-based registration on the university portal; PG admission uses the MU PG Common Entrance Test or CUET PG.
