About Veer Kunwar Singh University
Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) is a state university located at Arrah in Bhojpur district of western Bihar, established in 1994 by the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The university is named after the legendary 1857 freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh and is the principal affiliating university for colleges across the Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur districts of western Bihar.
VKSU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes across arts, sciences, commerce, management, law, education and computer applications. UG admission for 2026-27 is through CUET UG (NTA) and merit-based registration on the university portal; PG admission uses the VKSU PG Common Entrance Test or CUET PG.
CUET UG 2026 is being conducted from 11 to 31 May 2026. The 2026-27 admission notification, programme list and counselling schedule are released on the official portal at vksu.ac.in.
