About Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBVU), established in 2008 as a Deemed-to-be University under the UGC Act (continuing the legacy of the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences founded in 1976), is a private deemed university located at Pillaiyarkuppam, Puducherry. The institute is part of the Sri Balaji Educational and Charitable Public Trust. SBVU is one of the major private medical universities of South India.

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth has six constituent institutes — Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (MGMCRI), Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences (IGIDS), Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College (KGNC), Sri Lakshmi Narayana College of Yoga & Naturopathy, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Faculty of Health Professions Education.
