Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), established in 1986 as Karunya Institute of Technology and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 2004 under the UGC Act, is a private deemed university located at Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore. The institute is part of the Karunya Charitable Education and Religious Trust founded by Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran. KITS is one of India's leading Christian-affiliated engineering institutions.
