About Sri Chandrasekharandra Saraswati Vishwa Mahavidyalaya

Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Viswa Mahavidyalaya (SCSVMV), established in 1980 as Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Vidyalaya College and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 1993 under the UGC Act, is a private deemed university located at Enathur, Kancheepuram. The university is named after Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamigal (the 68th Shankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, known as Mahaperiyava).

SCSVMV has multiple faculties — Sanskrit & Indology, Sciences, Commerce, Management, Engineering & Technology, Education, Music & Performing Arts (Carnatic music). Offers UG, PG, MPhil, PhD and Diploma programmes blending traditional Sanskrit/Vedic studies with modern subjects. NAAC accredited.
