Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), formerly Sri Ramachandra University, established in 1985 as Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 1994 under the UGC Act, is a private deemed university located at Porur, Chennai. The institute is part of the Sri Ramachandra Group founded by Padma Bhushan recipient N.P.V. Ramasamy Udayar.
