About Tamilnadu National Law School

Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), established in 2012 by an Act of the Tamil Nadu state legislature, is the 17th National Law University of India. Located at Navalur Kuttapattu, Srirangam Bypass, Tiruchirappalli, TNNLU is a participant in the Consortium of NLUs and one of the well-established NLUs of South India.

TNNLU offers a 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.), 1-year LL.M., and PhD programmes in law. Specialised research centres include Centre for Constitutional Law, Centre for Trade & Investment Law, Centre for Environmental Law and Centre for International Commercial Law. NAAC A grade accredited; recognised by Bar Council of India (BCI).

BA LLB / BBA LLB (Hons) admissions through CLAT UG conducted by Consortium of NLUs. LL.M. through CLAT PG. PhD through TNNLU PhD entrance. Tamil Nadu state quota of 50% within CLAT merit for TN domicile candidates (higher than typical 25% at other NLUs).
